A day before visiting the Emirates Palace Abu Dhabi, my friend told us that we are visiting a 7-star hotel but palace. Yes, definitely we understand that it is a hotel and a palace as well as the name says so. What I suppose to understand is that it is a 7-star and it should be something better than a 5-star (a dumb statement but it does make sense) - but when I set foot in the palace (for the fourth time), I was overwhelmed by the Islamic Architectural elements majority furnished in gold and marble. I had an amazing time walking alone in the about 8 to 10 meters hallways, under the elaborate geometrical domes with lavish chandeliers caressed by golden cove lightings and so much more. Getting away from other tourists, getting lost and taking tons of photos was an experience. This Architecture designed by Architect John Elliott (WATG Architects) collaborating with Reza Rahmanian (HDC Architects), for certain has kept up with the tradition.
