We travelled Malaysia few months back and what's best about our DIY tour was our last 2 days at Avani Sepang Goldcoast Resort located in the west coast of peninsular Malaysia. We stayed in their well-designed Polynesian-inspired over-water villa, chilled over sunset, slept in their comfy beds and so much more. The stilt Architecture captured the cooling ocean breeze thus we never really needed the air conditioning that much. Also, the place is very energy efficient due to bigger windows that gives natural lighting, indeed environment friendly. On the basis thereof, the construction of the typical villa is commonly made out of wood and some bamboo. And to me, as fanatic of any thing wood, how you will incorporate the design of ceiling can be a bit of a challenge however the thatched-designed (and high ceiling effect) especially seen in the gym is something not really new but very prepossessing at least to my eyes.
You don't want to miss the view as well. Ah, clever.
