An overnight stay last weekend was one for the books as the family celebrated the long weekend holiday (2020 Islamic New Year) at Oaks IBN Battuta Gate. The 5 star hotel is well known for its iconic gate which has become a landmark sight in the city. The name of the place may not be so familiar with some people but would instantly be aware of when you describe the hotel with an immense Islamic arch gate design at its center.
We know how “huge” the hotel for its name but we
never really anticipated how beautiful the interior design let alone the
different Islamic architecture concept per floor. How dope is that? Ours was at
9th floor which is the Moroccan architecture theme.
Here are some interesting photos I have taken
during our stay using just my phone with a bit of editing via Photoshop to
re-angle and sharpen for a better personal view.
Ah, above is the Arabian-themed high ceiling central feature with multiple pendant lights hanging just above your head! Dope.
And few interesting furniture details below.
Our floor was Moroccan architecture-themed floor thus the concept of the furniture details and design of spaces in our Executive suite was of course Moroccan. The classic detail of the room was such a feast in every senses I exploited. And to tell you, lately I have been so inclined about furniture/s and I will tell you why in my next blog.
Anyhow the details of the hotel are all over the
internet as they reopened this month, operated by Minor Hotel group.
