Midst of Battle

Lately, circumstances of my life have shown in such a way that I have left with a renewed respect for the divine progression of life. And realized that to have faith, is to possess a sense of trust in what cannot be seen and letting that inner sense of knowing (even without evidence) guide you.

Masarap mabuhay. On my own context, quite frankly, when there is so much sadness and struggle in the world, hunting happiness to live felt impossible. But the truth is, if we are to ever create harmony around our world it must begin within: Spiritual Growth. Hence our spiritual growth doesn’t happen when you’re praying in the church or on a yoga mat. It happens in the actual midst of battle – when you’re scared or angry and frustrated and then suddenly you realized that you have a choice to do it differently. Remember that we’re always one decision away from a totally different life. Keep moving and knowingly choose to simplify when you feel challenged.

Anyway, simplifying your life could mean slowing down to take time to smell the flowers but if you only got fake plants in your house better not to. Haha. However decorating with artificial plants is A-OK if you could only choose a greenery that looks somewhat real. Found this photo I took at The Retreat Palm Jumeirah some time ago.

That pop of green especially in the gym to buffer noise was calming and refreshing.
