February is my birthday month thus making me officially an adult – years ago actually. Tee-hee! When I was younger I used to think by this age I would be married and have kids blah-blah and now I’m still focusing on my endless agonal breathing career (LMAO) especially at this time of pandemic. Oh well, as they say, certain age meant certain things were supposed to achieve. But should we really need to be THAT someone at a certain age? That’s absolutely hard to tell. As birthdays pass, growing older is an inevitable part of life. We just need to learn to live and be happy in the moment because each moment is all we need regardless of who we are at that phase.
Very timely it is, I was finally able to visit
the church last weekend at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church Ras Al Khaima on my
birthday month. Ahh, such an amazing feeling to worship again. I heard St.
Mary’s Catholic Church Dubai is already open but you have to schedule the visit
because we still need to follow pandemic protocols by the government.
Anyway since Ras Al Khaima is a long drive, we
decided to check in at the nearest place: The Cove Rotana Resort
These lanterns was at the lobby upon registering.
The hillside beachfront location overlooking the Arabian Gulf is just unforgettable and best for quick weekend getaway. We stayed for two days and as we marvel the place we all agreed that another staycation is possible anytime soon.
Below is our hillside room interior which
reminds us of nubian design.
We definitely enjoyed our stay. Ah oh boy, I’d love to have these lighting pieces in my room, definitely dope.
And before I forgot, happy birthday to me
tomorrow!
