Flight & Fight

We’ve seen this on TV and in blockbusters, in fact, it's my favorite genre. Thus, does it say in a way I roughly know what it would be like? Let us take our minds few weeks before all occurrences: almost everything that’s public were cancelled; when we leave home social distancing (at least 2 meters away) is practiced to protect yourself from catching the virus and a lot more everything-feels-new as we face the global flu epidemic drastically affecting our ways – now, would you have believed what you were reading? We’re not watching a movie.

As an Expat, my planned yearly trip to the Philippines got cancelled as numerous airlines are temporarily suspending operations as COVID-19 spread around the world. Of course, my fear of contracting the virus (in the airport, or worse and very possible, inside the airplane) and not know it is a risk for my family if I’m able to push through. Almost the same thing has happened to my sibling as his travel this year for work to Madrid got cancelled too and rescheduled once this is over. By the way, speaking of airlines, I managed to capture excellent interior photos of Dubai international airport terminal 3 a week before the shutdown.

I’ve been here a lot of times and its ceiling has always been a sight. It could have a concept per space as ceiling design differs as you move from an area to another of the terminal. By the way, the airport was designed by ADPi France.

Moving on, we already know that it’s not just the airline industry that’s affected by the pandemic – our realm feels appallingly strange. And ever since then, life has totally shifted, at least for now. As Sheikh Hamdan (and all the leaders of the world) recently stressed that the need of temporary changes are implemented for health and safety measure. Till then, stay indoors. eat well, sleep well and try to stay healthy. Let’s flatten the curve. We are all in this flight and fight together.
