A new year is here to welcome us in 6 hours while writing this blog. And before I share my New Year resolutions, I would like to let go all of my paralyzing disappointments and some horrific challenges this year. Blah, blah, blah.
So, for 2023, I wanted to try a variety to shake things up that I know I’ll be better off it.
- Read a book a month. It reduces stress as my attention apparently splits and I tend to focus more on what I read than to things that stresses me out. And not to mention, reading improves memory, concentration and your vocabulary.
- I want to go someplace I have never been to simply learn new things to stay grounded and discover more about architecture, design, dope ceilings relating them to life in general and whatnot. With this being said, we visited a theme park to celebrate Christmas day (my photos below). More of this stories posted on my Instagram of the same handle: @dopeceiling.
- I would like to always end the night with a prayer. So that when I lay my head down on my pillow I would feel better that I’ve done my best for the day.
- Keeping a journal. I keep and write a journal but not on a regular basis. In fact, I have a book and a pen with me ready if I’m going out.
- I will start 2023 with a clean slate and keep the hate and grudges behind.
- Stay in touch with my family always.
- I will spend more time listening than talking.
- I regularly go to the gym because of the obsession of losing weight and gaining muscle at the same time. This time, I will be kinder to myself to feel better inside. As they say, feel better inside to look at your best outside without you even noticing it.
- I would like to volunteer to something selfless for others.
- Lastly, I would want to be more empathetic of others at any situation.

So where am I heading this year? I would want to take that path of becoming a wiser and kinder citizen of this planet because there’s a substantial scientific and obvious evidences that kindness makes you – and others – happy. Happy 2023 everyone!
