Currently I’m in the Philippines (next week in Thailand) celebrating my 2023 annual leave with my family (in my parent’s house actually). How time flies since my 2022 summer vacation! By the way, you know, it’s always best to travel Philippines during the months of November to May because it’s less hot, breezier in the morning, and colder at night. Not to mention Christmas is always the highlight of this season - it’s a happy extensive season in The Philippines! Speaking of which Antonette, my mother touched a narrative, a cliché one morning that made her say, “Seasons flies. I’m probably passed by that time.” I was perplexed like as if there’s a cloud under my tongue. You probably heard that phrase over and over from your fellas, I bet. Anyway, while doing my instant coffee, I casually replied, “It’s not always the age that determines the fate of our tomorrow.” Yes, cliché after a cliché. But no argument there. Antonette gets it.
Here’s the real truth: while we couldn’t get ahold of the future, the sun will still rise and fall every day. And all we have to do is just witness the difference that makes in our lives — while having fun in the process. I couldn’t be shrugging my shoulder every time I look at things differently as amazing experiences happens everyday, if you know where to look. For now, let me savor this moment, for every moment matters with my family. xx
